This really is my o/s of choice for the more experienced Linux user it’s just everything you could ever want, speed, app availability and dam cool looks, I really recommend this to all Linux enthusiasts for your net-book.

Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) is a semi-rolling distribution based on Debian Testing.
It’s available in both 32 and 64-bit as a live DVD with MATE or Cinnamon.
The purpose of LMDE is to look identical to the main edition and to provide the same functionality while using Debian as a base.

Deluge is a BitTorrent client developed for multiple platforms, which provides full functionality and comes with a vast array of plugins that extend its uses.

It’s not clear why, but Deluge has lost some of its fans along the way, in favor of other similar solutions. The reasons are not apparent because this is an excellent client and it deserves our attention and consideration.

The speed of Internet connections has risen slowly over the years, and BitTorrent clients have popped up all over the place. As it stands right now, there are few applications that perform the same tasks, but the differences between them are almost inconsequential.

Nonetheless, Deluge has quite an interesting history. It was developed by Zach Tibbitts and Alon Zakai and, at first, it was called gTorrent. As the name suggests, it was initially targeted for the GNOME environment. After the launch, it was modified in order to support any platform that makes use of GTK+.

Valve has launched yet another Beta version for its Steam for Linux client, this time with only a few minor fixes and improvements.

After a development version garners sufficient changes, Valve promotes that version to stable. The work for the next beta starts almost immediately.

“This is a quick update to Steam intended to fix some of the current top issues with offline mode and cloud uploads,” reads the official announcement.
